Front Office Football: The College Years

The College Years is the sequel to the highly successful Front Office Football series of text-based professional football simulations.In The College Years, you assume the role of the head coach of a college football team. Your job is to turn your school`s football program into a college gridiron juggernaut. You have at your fingertips the ability to set team lineups and game plans. You also can manage your student athletes` time, both on and off the field. Most importantly, you can replenish your roster each year by recruiting from a list of top prospects generated from more than 14,000 high schools. Recruiting is the life`s blood of any college football program. You`ll decide who plays for your school. You can go after the blue-chippers, or you can target players who will perform well in the classroom. If you like, you can field an offensive line made up entirely of Nuclear Engineering majors. If they`re smart, you`ll boost your school`s reputation in that major, and be rewarded when the top athletes who want to study that field look to your school.You`ll be graded as head coach, too. Each year, you`ll receive scores in six categories. Score well, and you could receive coaching offers from the top schools in the country. Score poorly, and you`ll be asking the lowest-ranking teams for work.
